NEW SINGLE: The Grogans 'I Cannot Read You Mind' + Find Me A Cloud Album Announce

The Grogans release new single 'I Cannot Read Your Mind' and announce their fourth studio album Find Me A Cloud out Friday 20 October  + Australia / New Zealand / Europe / UK tour

Back on home turf after collecting fervent choirs of live fans across their tour in the UK and Europe, Australia’s genre transcendent trio The Grogans are releasing a new track ‘I Cannot Read Your Mind’,  out Thursday 17 August through C.W. Records. As one of Australia's hardest working young bands and never ones to slow down, this next release comes alongside news of their fourth studio album ‘Find Me A Cloud’, recorded at Big Fridge Studios and their studio out on the Peninsula, or as they call it "Grogs HQ", slated for release on Friday 20 October. And that’s not all. The trio will be jetting off for a Spring AU/NZ tour with dates across Queensland and VictoriaNew Zealand, an Ocean Alley support at Spark Arena, and New South Wales alongside their appearance at Bigsound in Brisbane at Yours and Owls Festival in Wollongong this October

Out Thursday 17 August through C.W. Records, ‘I Cannot Read Your Mind’ embodies the vexing nature of communication breakdowns - ‘That pure frustration in not being able to understand someone when they aren't communicating with you in an argument or in general life’, The Grogans. What started as an instrumental jam and developed through their unforgettable live shows, ‘I Cannot Read You Mind’’s incendiary guitar riffs, energetic drum fills, and catchy chorus melodies create a musical channel to chant, dance, and sing the fury away.

‘It felt so high powered and I guess that's where “I cannot read your mind” came from’ - The Grogans

Recorded with Jasper Jolley at Big Fridge StudioFind Me A Cloud is brimming with Grogans brilliance and genre bridge building, with an auditive aesthetic they dived headfirst into. "We decided to go and record all the drums and guitars live down with our great friend Jasper at Big Fridge Recordings, I think this is where we really found the sound for the album. Big Fridge is a beautiful one room, rustic studio converted from an old cool-room on an apple farm in Ocean Grove. It really felt like home for us. We then took the tracks back to our studio to build upon the foundations," The Grogans. Surging with their infectious authentic positivity amongst the album’s grunge and guitar, you’ll find melodic riffs and lyrics preaching a message of self worth and assurance in ‘Hey Ma’am’, ‘Heads in The Sand’, ‘Can’t Stand’, and recently released ‘I’m Not Sure’, alongside the album’s first single ‘Nowhere To Be’, heralded by Rolling Stone Australia and saw the band nab the feature artist slot on triple j Unearthed. As sun drenched ‘Lay Back’ and ‘Overheat’ capture the trio's laidback love of summers in their surfside home, ‘Find Me A Cloud’ is also home to a country washed genre shift in ‘Stay High’, and the trio's experiences missing loved ones on ‘I Need You’ and ‘Day Dreamed’, - a western tinged moment amongst organs and synths to close the album.

"The album is filled with honest and relatable lyrics whilst some may come across as cryptic, some tracks are heavier rock n roll and others slow and perpetual. Hopefully something for everyone." - The Grogans

The Grogans labour of love and genuine elation playing together has seen them performing backyard gigs on the Mornington Peninsula to supporting bands including Ocean Alley, WAVVES (US) Hockey Dad and The Chats, sharing festival line-ups with Franz FerdinandLos Bitchos and The Teskey Brothers, and completing a plethora of headline Australian & New Zealand tours including sell-out shows at The Croxton (VIC), Crowbar (NSW), The Brightside (QLD), Lion Art’s Factory (SA), Badlands (WA), and more. The trio have appeared at festivals nationally and internationally including Yours & Owls (NSW), Wanderer Festival (NSW), NYE on the Hill (VIC), Dauwpop Festival (NL), London Calling (NL), Beast Of A Feast (NZ),  NinchFest (VIC), and more and have announced their second AUS/NZ tour for the year between September-October alongside support shows with Ocean Alley and an October-November UK/EU tour following the release of Find Me A Cloud

With a humble and hardworking ethos matched only by their down to earth mentality in making music, get ready to dance amongst the clouds in this new realm of The Grogans.
