New Single: Garbanotas - ‘Hey Love’

The Lithuanian psych rockers floor us with a meandering epic.

Garbanotas are a four-piece psychoanalytic pop outfit from Vilnius, made up of bandmates Šarukas Joneikis, Mantas Joneikis, Kipras Pugačiukas and Mantas Augustaitis. Crafting intelligent and dense elongations of riffs, kicks and licks, Garbanotas’ music has enough grit to make digestion just that bit slower, but not too much to scare off newcomers to the experimental rock scene.

New single ‘Hey Love’ is a perfect middle ground of Tonstartssbandht meets Jaala. Sung in English, the lyrics speak to the cyclical nature of relationships which is accentuated tenfold in the incredible animated video by See-Through. The hazy reverb and extended riffage softy ebbs the track forward as if walking home from a big night out, before propelling into a full sprint then backing off again. The result is infectious, endearing and leaves us hanging for more.
