Alana Wilkinson releases new single ‘Shine Through’ 
+ heartfelt story of her Grandmother’s battle with dementia in the lead up for Mother’s Day!

Amidst lush harmonies, Australian Folk songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alana Wilkinson delivers a story that is sure to pull on the heartstrings in her new single ‘Shine Through’, out Friday 10 May, in the lead up for Mother’s Day! ‘Shine Through’ captures the nostalgic moments with her Grandmother and the lessons she has learned from her, assembling who she has become. With an authenticity that always provides a unique window into the human experience, ‘Shine Through’ follows her earlier singles ‘Dream Big’ and ‘Square One’.

Produced by Paul Ruske and Alana, the track was recorded at Treehouse Studios and The Music Farm in Byron Bay, NSW. ‘Shine Through’ features collaborations from musical friends, building a delicate soundscape for Alana’s memories. Her lyrics capture the pockets of sunshine she held on to following her Grandmother's diagnosis of dementia, and new stories that strengthened their relationship amongst the illness.
