New Single: The CB3 'Lost & Looking' Amin Payne Remix ft. Jordan Dennis

The CB3 reveal Amin Payne remix of old classic ‘Lost & Looking’ featuring the inimitable bars of Jordan Dennis + announce Baby Snakes June residency

““Bunny Hop” is everything the title implies: a giddy, buoyant EP full of leaping jazz and funk grooves.” – Bandcamp

“It’s easy to let music run free but it takes a real pro to tame it. The CB3 has the most perfect ability to do exactly that. These creations are a privilege to bear witness to.”
– Dylan Joel

Last month, Melbourne funk lords The CB3 dropped their captivating EP Bunny Hop to a slew of new and returning fans alike, catapulting them straight to the frontlines of Melbourne's thriving funk and soul scene. Featured by Bandcamp as a New and Notable release and across community radio stations RTR, PBS, SYN and Eastside FM with the title track added to Spotify’s Instrumental Funk playlist, Bunny Hop presented a meandering journey of scintillating grooves, beats, basslines and melodies at its impeccable, hook-soaked best. Now, the trio are stoked to continue their lasting legacy with a new remix of an old classic and bring a couple of friends along for the ride. Introducing the Amin Payne remix of their 2017 Exposed album favourite ‘Lost & Looking’ featuring the velvety vocals of Jordan Dennis.

Out today through CD Baby, the ‘Lost & Looking' Amin Payne Remix ft. Jordan Dennis is a collaboration of some of Melbourne’s finest rising talent. The original track ‘Lost & Looking’ has already been gifted a sister release in the form of ‘Still Lost, Still Looking’ from this year’s Bunny Hop EP, and now its younger cousin emerges complete with all the angst, nostalgia and blissful naivety of youth. Prolific producer and unmissable live performer Amin Payne says his reinterpretation came easily and has been a long time coming; “Hearing the original version, I got so inspired to remix it. I chopped it up and added drums & bass. Having Jordan bless it with vocals took the track to a whole new level.”

“This one has a special meaning. I wrote the song from the perspective of me as a 19/20 year old kid. I was looking for my place in the world and tryna chase my creative dreams while staying grounded in reality and worrying about the risk. I wanted this song to encompass what it felt like to be uncertain of every direction and feeling isolated as a dreamer learning to let go and just let it happen.” – Jordan Dennis

To celebrate the release The CB3 are thrilled to announce a four-week June residency at intimate westside venue Baby Snakes. Each week will see The CB3 perform fully improvised two-hour sets and invite other MCs and horn players from the audience to participate. Be sure to head down for a cosy Sunday night out next month to join in all the action at the ‘Lost & Looking’ June Residency. Entry is free - run, don't walk.
