Christopher Coleman & The Great Escape announce 2022 Mona Foma performances + The Great Tasmanian Escape vinyl pre-orders

In the wake of their recent transcendental single ‘Paloona’, Hobart outfit Christopher Coleman & The Great Escape are thrilled to announce a series of upcoming performances at Tasmania’s coveted Mona Foma. Playing both nipaluna (Hobart) and Launceston in January, Coleman will lead the live incarnation of his newfangled supergroup to perform tracks from The Great Escape’s upcoming debut album, and Coleman’s third long play, The Great Tasmanian Escape. The cherished homegrown storyteller has also opened up vinyl pre-orders for the album which will be with us Friday 25 February 2022, with a third and final single ‘Amelia’ to come Thursday 13 January.

In the winter of 2018, Christopher Coleman formed The Great Escape featuring some of the heart-shaped state’s finest musicians including members of Augie March, The Drones, EWAH and The Stitch. The band released their formative offering and introduced The Great Tasmanian Escape’s central character ‘Jesse’ in May 2019, before their most recent lifted single ‘Paloona’ was revealed last month. In the lead up to their upcoming 2022 Mona Foma performances, the band will continue The Great Tasmanian Escape’s story with the approaching arrival of ‘Amelia’.
