Hailing from the ancient lands of the Kimberly, proud Nyikina Jarndoo (woman) and First Nations artist Stellar Moon is empowering those around her with her third and latest single ‘Rise’, hitting the airwaves on Thursday 1 February.  Last year's single and second taste of the Stellar Moon's honest journaling of the journey of healing and empowerment, 'Still Tea' was added to Apple Music FIRST and was the cover of Spotify’s Original Storytellers playlist, garnering support from WA's RTR radio on their weekly Sound Selection, and enjoyed placement in the AMRAP Metro Charts for 3 weeks following the release.

Heading up a big soul sound with dashes of funk and rock, Stellar Moon's songs aim to ignite inner revolutions & empower listeners, PHASES her debut album will be released on Thursday 7 March. Filled with songs inspired by her journey of healing and empowerment, "Just like the Moon, we all go through patches of both darkness and luminance in life, sometimes we bask in the light and sometimes we hang out in the shadow. It’s all needed and important. No matter what phase we are in, like the Moon, we are still always whole."

'Rise' was written in a moment of fun and frivolity and delves into that (often rare) feeling that everything will be ok. It’s an anthem to all the times we fall, or feel like we are drowning, or when we’ve gone the wrong way down the wrong track, and trusting that we will make it through, soundtracked to playful Motown vibes and a big band sound; complete with tambourine, horns, and vibrant backing vocals.

Stellar Moon is both a musician & visual artist, romanced by the Moon and teacher of her phases. She has toured WA extensively and supported Australian greats such as Daryl Braithwaite and The Waifs, sharing her songs to awaken the power within so listeners may rebel enough to question the status quo, stand up for their country, fall radically in love with themselves and learn to live in unapologetic full expression of themselves.

Inspired by her work as a life coach and sound healer, and the stories and experiences of her students and clients, PHASES is steeped in her journey of healing and empowerment. With a love of human behaviour and what drives people and sets us alike and apart, this work moves through her emotional discovery of feeling okay, moving through thick cloaks of self-doubt and criticism, to finding her footing to take the next step and be ready to shine.
