NEW VIDEO: Samuel Gaskin + Kee'ahn 'Find My Way Back' Video

Samuel Gaskin and Kee’ahn share a powerful journey of reconnection to self and ancestry in their latest visual collaboration for ‘Find My Way Back’

Samuel Gaskin
and Kee’ahn unveil an ethereal and otherworldly visual exploration of their latest collaboration ‘Find My Way Back’, their ancestral love letter and a reminder to listen deeply to Country. Premiered on triple j’s Home and Hosed’, ‘Find My Way Back’, is “an invitation to accept ourselves where we are at so that we can have the courage and self belief, to chase after what feels like home" shares Kee’ahn.

Filmed by Pride Productions, with VFX by Fagan Wilcox, and creative and direction by Beat Entertainment, the clip represents the reconnection to self and ancestry, with makeup and costumes inspired by sci-fi warriors and goddesses, the surrounding landscape draws on scenes from films like The Never Ending Story and A Wrinkle In Time to create a futuristic indigenous extraterrestrial look. Sam and Kee’ahn are seen riding giant sea dragons, passing galactic ancestors, interspersed with dancers surrounding them both, their costumes woven clashes of colour, created by one half of Beat Entertainment (BEAT), Johnny Hamilton

The release of this clip is a deep heartfelt celebration of years of creativity and community gathering and support. Sea Dragons are the physical manifestation of magic, beauty, survival, and adaptation to your environment without losing your individuality and weirdness! So what better creature to be carrying QTPOC powerhouses Kee’ahn & Samuel Gaskin! - Johnny Hamilton

This video for me represents the power we hold as Indigenous people continuing on the work of our Ancestors. How we are all interconnected and the light we carry as we represent our loved ones both here and in the other realms. - Samuel Gaskin
