NEW SINGLE: Thorne 'Habitual' and Announces EP Fix
Bringing sassy energy to every note, Thorne releases new single and video for ‘Habitual’
+ announces upcoming EP Fix
Bringing his Bajan-Libra-chaotic-sassy energy to every note, Thorne is releasing an emotionally charged confessional with new single ‘Habitual’, out Thursday 7 August, and announces his upcoming EP Fix. Never afraid to get messy, Thorne drags skeletons out of the closet, dressing them up in rhinestones, and making them dance, revealing all in the upcoming 4 track work, out Thursday 16 October. This next taste, ‘Habitual’, is joined by a video from Checklist Productions; a world of sensuality featuring Paris Elwood.
Written with the very ex it’s about (yes, really), ‘Habitual’ at its core is about being stuck. Stuck in a pattern with someone who’s not good for you, who breaks promises, crosses lines, and always comes back with the right words at the wrong time. You know it’s toxic, but you’re hooked - and leaving hurts just as much as staying. Throwing it back to sounds from the early 2000s Pop-R&B, with a slick, polished feel and a heavy side of soul searching, ‘it’s for anyone who’s ever ignored red flags because they glowed like mood lighting. It’s smooth, painful, and oddly comforting, like re-reading an old text thread you swore you deleted.’ - Thorne
Finding influences in early 2000s style videos, the visual slides between seductive moments of connection to spotlit dancing, amongst a shimmery world of glitter. ‘I didn’t walk into this video with a strict concept, just a colour, a feeling, and a ghost I couldn’t shake. That electric blue glow became the emotional landscape of the story. It’s hazy, lonely, a little surreal, like you’re trapped inside a memory you can’t stop replaying. Paris, who played my love interest in Honey, returns here, not as a partner, but as a reflection. He’s the ache, the echo, the part of me still dancing in circles trying to make sense of the heartbreak. This video isn’t about resolution. It’s about haunting. About how love lingers, even when it hurts. About how some habits don’t die — they perform, they seduce, they stay.’ - Thorne
A four part celebration of queer joy and heartbreak, Fix opens with recently released single ‘Honey’, a love letter to letting go, getting laid, and living deliciously out loud. Turning his heartache into polished grooves, ‘Habitual’ is equal parts sad and sexy and for anyone who’s ever confused comfort for love, moving into the next chapter with ‘Honest With Me’, and the clarity that comes as you start to let go. Stripping it back for the title track ‘Fix’; intimate, acoustic, and almost uncomfortably vulnerable, Thorne captures the sex, secrecy, and intensity of early-stage chemistry.
Whether you’re dancing alone in your room, crying in the car, or walking away from someone who never saw your worth, there is something for you on Fix.
