NEW EP: Thorne Fix EP + upcoming RnB Side Show
Thorne Celebrates Queer Joy in Heartbreak with New EP, Fix
+ and upcoming RnB Side at Section 8
Never afraid to get messy, Thorne drags skeletons out of the closet, dressing them up in rhinestones, and making them dance, revealing all his 4 track work, Fix, out now! Since releasing the EP’s first single ‘Honey’, Thorne has gone from flirtatious fantasy to full-on emotional reckoning with ‘Habitual’, and stripping it right back for feature and title single ‘Fix’. To celebrate, he’s performing at an upcoming show at Section 8 on Wednesday 22 October for RnB Side with DJ FRESHXPRINCESS, Colette and ALiKHA.
A four part celebration of queer joy and heartbreak, Fix opens with recently released single ‘Honey’, a love letter to letting go, getting laid, and living deliciously out loud. If ‘Honey’ is about teasing and turning heads, the next track ‘Habitual’ is about looking yourself in the mirror and asking, Why did I stay? Turning his heartache into polished grooves, ‘Habitual’ is equal parts sad and sexy and for anyone who’s ever confused comfort for love, moving into the next chapter with ‘Honest With Me’, and the clarity that comes as you start to let go. Stripping it back for the title track ‘Fix’; intimate, acoustic, and almost uncomfortably vulnerable, Thorne captures the sex, secrecy, and intensity of early-stage chemistry.
‘‘Fix’ captures the rush of those private moments at the beginning of something intense, before labels, before clarity, before anyone else knows. It’s about giving in, again and again, even when you swore you wouldn’t." - Thorne
Known in the Naarm music scene as a prolific vocalist with a penchant for writing melodies that make you grind your hips and lick your lips, Thorne’s live show is the inevitable answer to the timeless question “what are you doing tonight?”. Consistently delivering a good time filled with addictive beats and soulful yet spicy lyrics, every audience becomes a willing moth to Thorne’s flame. A proud member of the Naarm queer community, his songs are laden with validation and celebration of love, lust, and empowerment. Following in the footsteps of musical greats such as Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, and Jill Scott, and reincarnating iconic sounds from the 90s + 2000s RnB, Thorne is both honouring his roots while shaping his unique path ahead.
Whether you’re dancing alone in your room, crying in the car, or walking away from someone who never saw your worth, there is something for you on Fix.
